About This Program

Children in the Middle is a video-based parent education program that makes parents aware of the most serious ways they put their children in the middle of their own conflicts during and after divorce. 

Most importantly, parents are taught new skills to help them through this difficult transition.
This program was developed by two professors at the University of Ohio and is based on their extensive research. 

It has received accolades from parents, psychologists, judges, and attorneys for its practical help during this stressful period. 
It is currently being used in courts and counseling clinics nationwide.

Karen
Perry,
MS, LPC,LMFT

Karen Perry, is a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.

She received a bachelor's degree in Education and a Masters degree in Counseling from the University of Houston- Clear Lake.

Karen has worked with children and families for over 20 years. In her private counseling practice she works with individuals, families, children and groups in areas that include family adjustment, depression, self-esteem, school-related problems, motivation, women's issues, eating disorders, substance and other abuse issues, and anger management.

She has taught psychology and child development, and consults for school districts and businesses.

Karen Miller,
MEd, LPC, LMFT

Karen has worked with children and families for the past twenty years.

She received a Masters degree in Counseling and School Psychology from Southwest Texas State University and has had postgraduate training from Houston Baptist University and the Galveston Family Institute.

She has worked as an associate school psychologist providing testing and counseling services to students with emotional problems and had a private counseling practice specializing in marriage and family issues.

She is currently a School Counselor for a private school. Karen is interested in working with children and adults dealing with divorce and stepfamily issues.

Darci Hubbard,
MA, LPC, LMFT

Darci is a state-licensed professional counselor, and licensed marriage and family therapist. She is also a Clinical Member of the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapists.

She has worked with children and adults both in her private practice and with agencies throughout Houston as a researcher, therapist, supervisor and consultant. Darci is a graduate of the University of Houston-Clear Lake Marriage and Family Therapy program.
